Four Gas Meter

The Bridgeton Fire Department has three gas meters.  Two meters are MSA Orion® Multigas Detectors.  The third meter is a RKI GX86 Gas Tech modelThese meters monitor combustibles, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide.  If a carbon monoxide detector activates in ones home, when the fire department arrives they use these meters to confirm if carbon monoxide is present.  These meters are also used to in confined spaces emergencies to determine if a hazardous atmosphere is present.  Hazardous material situations also demand the use of four gas meters.
