BLS 729 BLS 729 is one of five ambulances operated by the Bridgeton Fire Department. The Bridgeton Fire Department staffs one Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance, with two New Jersey certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), twenty four hours a day, seven days per week. An additional BLS ambulance is staffed twenty hours a day, from 7am to 3am. When available, on duty firefighters can staff additional ambulances when needed during times of high call volume. In addition, extra ambulances are staffed during special events.
